Description

ABSTRACT
This study evaluated the significance of Public–Private Partnership (PPP) in enhancing sustainable socio-economic development in Nigeria. The study attempted to paint the pictures of PPP within the contexts of economic, socio-political and management schemes. The study adopted the endogenous growth theory as the underpinning theory upon which the study was anchored. The study revealed that the PPP, as a developmental strategy, holds significant benefits as an infrastructure delivery tools that can attract more private investment in the critical area of service delivery. However, the development of new technologies and human capital becomes sine qua non for sustainable socio-economic development to be realized. The study concluded that the planning, design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of public facilities via PPP constitute the best option if the future of Nigeria is to be protected
